Advent Retreat 2022
The holidays can be an anticipation of joy and ‘good cheer’, yet for those missing a loved one, the upcoming season may also bring about a mix of emotions. You are not alone. We understand that grief is a part of the healing journey and that Advent is a sign of hope, comfort and reflection.
Elizabeth Ministry is a peer support, infant loss ministry. We are hosting a gathering for bereaved families and friends who have experienced the loss of a preborn infant during pregnancy at any gestational age, as well as child loss.
You're invited to join us in fellowship to build community and share stories; feel free to bring photos and/or remembrance items. We'll talk about ways to honour the memory of our loved one during Advent and Christmas time. There will also be a guided prayer meditation led by an Elizabeth Minister.
Join us for light refreshments, cookies and hot chocolate! Families will have the opportunity to get together and create a memento to celebrate the little souls gone-to-soon. There will also be a child-friendly craft and parent participation gym time for the children.
Sunday, November 27, 2022, from 2:30-4:30pm
St. Nicholas Parish, Langley
All welcome - parents, family, friends, grandparents and children.
For more information, please email [email protected]. RSVPs welcome, but not required.
